FAQ
Frequent Asked Questions
1. What age group do you cater to?
We cater to children aged three to eight.
2. What time are the classes?
We are flexible with the class time and cater to your child’s schedule. However, we like to have a set routine. Please discuss the ideal class timing with your tutor!
3. How frequent are the classes?
The classes are conducted ideally twice or thrice a week.
4. What is the preferred classroom set up?
We prefer a two device set up.
The first device can be a screen. Its primary function would be for the child to see the teacher.
The second device can be a tablet device with a stylus. Its primary function would be for the child to write and draw.
We would also require the parents to maintain a calm and clean environment with a stable internet connection.
5. Does an adult need to be present during the child's class?
An adult is required during the first few sessions. During this time the parent would be required to introduce the child to using some features of the device. For example, when the child is working on worksheets, they would need to turn on the ‘Annotate’ feature on Zoom. After the child is comfortable, a parent can be in close vicinity but does not have to sit through the lessons.
6. What is the procedure for canceling a class?
Parents would need to inform the child’s tutor at least a day in advance. But if there is an emergency, you can inform two hours before the class. If there is no show the class will be charged.
7. What subjects do you offer?
We support in Mathematics, Language (English) and Cultural development.
8. Do you provide homework?
In a Montessori classroom a child is encouraged to practice introduced concepts over a period of time. As we are online, we would be assigning practice worksheets or materials to ensure the child will have sufficient practice of the newly learnt concept before their next class.
9. What is the duration of each class?
The duration of the class is dependent on the attention span and age of the child. For younger children we may dedicate more time to calming them down and preparing their mind before we start the lesson.
10. Do you have a referral program?
Yes! Please contact your tutor!
11. Do you offer a free trial class?
Yes! During the trial class we would be focusing on ensuring that the child is able to connect well with the tutor. Parents are expected to be present during the class.
12. What are the qualifications of the teachers?
All the teachers working at Innate are highly qualified and are further in house trained by the team.
13. What makes Innate Montessori different from other learning platforms/tuition centers?
We use the montessori method wherein an individualised learning plan is created for each child to help them meet their individual milestones of development. At Innate we work closely with the child and parent to help them develop their innate qualities.
14. I have two children below the age of 8, can they use the same account?
We recommend that the children have separate accounts because their progress will be tracked accurately.
Furthermore, the teacher will be allocating practice for the children based on the accuracy of their daily practice. If a child who has not been introduced the concept, works with the materials, they teacher will not have an accurate understanding on each child’s progress.
To ensure each child is learning at their own pace of development, they need their own account.
